BoyNextDoor Closes 'Knock On Vol.1' Asia Tour with Curtain Call

A Night of Music, Memories, and Moments
BoyNextDoor recently wrapped up its “Knock On Vol.1” Seoul finale concerts from July 25 to 27 at the KSPO Dome in southern Seoul. The event marked the conclusion of the band’s first solo concert series, which featured 23 performances across 13 cities worldwide. Over three days, the group performed for a total of 33,000 fans, creating an unforgettable experience filled with music, energy, and emotion.
The band’s performance was more than just a concert—it was a celebration of their journey, their music, and their connection with fans. Known for their playful and cheeky style, BoyNextDoor delivered a three-hour show that showcased their versatility and creativity. From energetic hip-hop tracks to soulful ballads, the setlist was carefully curated to reflect the band’s evolving sound and artistic growth.
A Journey Through Sound and Style
The Seoul finale featured a revamped set list, incorporating new arrangements and surprises for the audience. The concert opened with a Broadway-themed performance of “Nice Guy,” complete with red curtains and marquee letters, setting the tone for the evening. The show then transitioned into a mix of jazzy pop songs like “Serenade” and “123-78,” followed by heartfelt love songs such as “But I Like You” and “If I Say, I Love You.”
One of the highlights of the night was when the band reinterpreted some of their most popular hip-hop hits, including “I Feel Good,” “Dangerous,” and “But Sometimes,” in a heavy rock style. This bold choice demonstrated the group’s willingness to experiment and push creative boundaries. The performance then shifted to emotional pop tracks like “Crying,” “Dear. My Darling,” and “Gonna Be A Rock,” showcasing the members’ vocal range and musical depth.
In addition to their own hits, the band also performed covers of famous Korean pop songs. They split into two units, with one group performing Primary’s “See Through” and the other covering DAY6’s “Congratulations.” These performances highlighted the members’ versatility and their ability to connect with different genres.
Emotional Moments and Gratitude
Throughout the concert, the members expressed their gratitude to the fans who have supported them throughout their journey. Myung, one of the members, shared heartfelt words during the final performance, tearing up as he looked around the packed venue. He reflected on the challenges they faced during the tour and the importance of their bond as a group.
“We’ve come so far, and it feels like we just started the tour yesterday,” Myung said. “But most of all, it’s thanks to everyone here that the six of us can do what we do together. You are the reason that we are BoyNextDoor, and we hope you never forget that.”
His words resonated with the audience, who waved lightsticks in support, creating a sea of colors that illuminated the venue.
A Rising Star in K-Pop
Since their debut in May 2023 with the single “WHO!” under KOZ Entertainment, BoyNextDoor has been making waves in the K-pop industry. As a subsidiary of HYBE, the label is known for producing successful groups, and BoyNextDoor has quickly carved out its own identity. Under the guidance of producer and mentor Zico, the band has developed a unique sound that blends cheeky, street-smart vibes with modern trends.
Their latest album, “No Genre,” sold 1.16 million copies in its first week, surpassing their previous album “19.99” by over 50%. This success reflects the growing popularity of the group and their ability to connect with fans on a global scale.
Looking Ahead
As they prepare for their next chapter, BoyNextDoor is set to perform at Lollapalooza Chicago on August 2 and 3, marking their first appearance at one of the world’s largest music festivals. The band has also hinted at future projects, including “Knock On Vol.2,” which fans are eagerly anticipating.
“We’ll always try to be artists deserving of your undying support,” Taesan said during the final performance. “We hope you look forward to ‘Knock On Vol.2,’ whenever that is, and the upcoming Lollapalooza, too. We love you so much. Thank you.”
With their talent, dedication, and strong connection with fans, BoyNextDoor is poised for continued success. Their journey is just beginning, and the future looks bright for this dynamic boy band.
