Top Hospitals in Florida and the Nation Recognized in New Rankings

AdventHealth Orlando has been named the top hospital in Florida and among the top 20 hospitals in the United States, according to the latest 2025-2026 Best Hospitals ranking released by U.S. News and World Report. This annual report evaluates more than 4,440 hospitals across the country based on their performance in 30 medical and surgical services. The rankings also highlight the 504 Best Regional Hospitals across 49 states and 95 metro areas, with hospitals earning high performance ratings in eight surgery and specialty areas making the cut.

The rankings emphasize the importance of local healthcare facilities in providing high-quality care close to home. Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News, stated that these rankings help individuals and families make informed decisions about their healthcare options in consultation with their medical providers.

Methodology and Updates

U.S. News evaluated over 4,400 hospitals using objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications, and nursing care quality. The Best Hospitals Specialty rankings and Procedures & Conditions ratings methodology use data from over 800 million patient records. This year, U.S. News added two new ratings—Heart Arrhythmia and Pacemaker Implantation—to the existing Procedures & Conditions ratings, bringing the total to 22.
