Tyler, The Creator Claims Fourth Consecutive No. 1 on the DISCOVER TREND200

Tyler, The Creator has achieved a significant milestone by securing his fourth consecutive No. 1 on the DISCOVER TREND200 albums chart with the release of his latest album, DON'T TAP THE GLASS. The album debuted at the top of the chart, which was dated August 2, and earned 197,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the week ending July 24, according to Luminate.

The release of the album came after Tyler teased a new project on social media. He officially announced the album on Friday, July 18, with a release date set for an unusual Monday, July 21. This off-cycle release resulted in only four days of activity in its first tracking week toward the chart. Typically, albums are released on Fridays, and Luminate’s tracking week runs from Friday through Thursday. This is the second off-cycle release in a row to debut at No. 1, following the JACKBOYS 2 project, which dropped on a Sunday a week earlier.

A significant portion of the album’s first-week activity came from album sales, with 128,000 copies sold, making it the top-selling album of the week. These sales were largely driven by five physical offerings available exclusively through Tyler’s official webstore, including a vinyl LP, CD, and three deluxe boxed sets that contained branded clothing and a copy of the CD. Each physical version included one bonus track compared to the standard 10-song digital download and streaming edition.

This achievement marks Tyler, The Creator’s eighth top 10-charted effort on the DISCOVER TREND200. His previous No. 1 albums include CHROMAKOPIA (2024), CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST (2021), and IGOR (2019).

Other Notable Releases in the Top 10

In addition to Tyler, The Creator's success, several other artists made their mark on the latest DISCOVER TREND200 chart. Alex Warren entered the top 10 for the first time with You'll Be Alright, Kid, which saw a significant jump from 19th to 5th place after adding 10 new songs. The expanded album earned 73,000 equivalent album units, with a massive increase in album sales, up 9,483%.

Ozzy Osbourne was also honored as The Essential Ozzy Osbourne jumped 134-7 on the chart following his passing on July 22. This best-of collection reached the top 10 for the first time, marking his 10th top 10-charted set. The album earned nearly 44,000 equivalent album units in the tracking week, with a notable increase in streaming activity.

Jessie Murph made her debut in the top 10 with Sex Hysteria, which launched at No. 8 with 44,000 equivalent album units. The album was preceded by two Hot 100 hits, "Blue Strips" and "Touch Me Like a Gangster."

BTS also entered the top 10 with PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE (LIVE), marking their eighth top 10-charted project. The live album debuted with 43,000 equivalent album units, with album sales accounting for 36,000 units.
