Upon checking, they found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol and discovered that his license was suspended. The 24-year-old Cleveland man was arrested for OVI. A passenger in the vehicle was also under the influence of alcohol and was found to have a loaded gun within reach. He was charged with carrying a weapon while intoxicated.

Property Damage on Highland Road

A woman reported on July 27 that someone had damaged a window on her vehicle while it was parked in front of the Parkview apartments. Officers found nine puncture marks on the front driver’s-side window, suggesting that a fine-pointed instrument was used to attempt to break it.

On July 26 at 10:45 p.m., two patrons of the Parallel Lounge got into a confrontation in the parking lot. The incident reportedly began due to past conflicts between the women. One claimed the other had slapped her face, although the accused denied the accusation. Neither showed signs of injury, and both had been drinking. Officers advised them to leave separately with sober drivers to prevent further escalation.

Disturbance at Wendy’s on Richmond Road
