Arsenal's Summer Spending Spree Continues with Gyokeres Target

Arsenal is continuing its aggressive summer spending, aiming to secure a deal for Viktor Gyokeres despite late competition. The club is also showing interest in Anthony Gordon, a Newcastle United winger. Meanwhile, Liverpool is nearing the completion of Hugo Ekitike’s signing, while also trying to fend off interest from Bayern Munich for Luis Diaz, who wants to leave Anfield.

Chelsea remains active in the market, eyeing Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig as a potential replacement for Noni Madueke, who recently moved to Arsenal. Manchester United has finally completed their long pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo, securing the Cameroonian forward in an initial £65 million deal. The club is now looking to strengthen its attacking options, with Benjamin Sesko and Nicolas Jackson among the names on their shortlist.

Chelsea Explores Simons Deal

Chelsea has shown interest in signing Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig. The Dutch international, who has also been checked out by Arsenal, is being considered as a potential addition to the squad. The Blues have already signed several attackers this summer, including Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, and Jamie Gittens, as well as Estêvão Willian from Palmeiras for the 2025/26 season. Despite these additions, Chelsea’s recruitment team has not ruled out further signings, and Simons is currently under consideration.

Ali Barat, Simons’ high-profile agent, is working with the player to explore potential transfer options. Barat previously helped facilitate Noni Madueke’s move to Arsenal for up to £52 million.

Arsenal Interested in Gordon

Arsenal is interested in signing Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon. The Gunners are hoping to wrap up a deal for Viktor Gyokeres first, but if Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard’s futures are uncertain, Gordon could be a priority. Real Madrid’s Rodrygo is also on the shortlist for the left-wing position.

Mbeumo, who signed a five-year deal with an option for an additional 12 months, joins United for an initial fee of £65 million, with a further £6 million in add-ons. He will wear the No. 19 shirt at Old Trafford, which had been vacant since Raphael Varane’s departure.

Ruben Amorim could go for a new goalkeeper with Andre Onana out of pre-season with a hamstring injury, and Aston Villa’s Argentine is of interest, according to the Daily Mail. Spurs Eye Guehi
