John Cena, the wrestler-turned-actor, made a striking appearance at a Comic Con panel that featured DCU director James Gunn. Dressed in full Peacemaker regalia, he revealed to the crowd that the costume was a "rental." The event highlighted the upcoming Season 2 of Peacemaker, which is set to premiere on HBO Max on August 21. This marks over three years since the first season of the Suicide Squad spinoff series debuted.

Fans in attendance were treated to an exclusive sneak peek as the trailer for Season 2 was unveiled during the convention. The panelists also shared that Season 2 of Peacemaker opens with an elaborate musical number featuring a Dirty Dancing-style lift.
