Exciting Events and Traditions Await Fans at Hershey Bears Games

Hershey, Pennsylvania is set to host a series of exciting events for hockey fans in the upcoming season. The Hershey Bears have announced their plans for the 2025-26 season, including some of the most anticipated traditions and special nights that fans can look forward to.

One of the most popular events is the GIANT Teddy Bear Toss game, scheduled for Sunday, January 4, at 3 p.m. against the Rockford IceHogs. During this event, fans are encouraged to throw stuffed animals onto the ice after the team scores its first goal. This tradition has become a highlight of the season, with the club breaking the world record last year by collecting 102,343 stuffed animals. These donations are then given to local charities through the Hershey Bears Cares program, making the event not only fun but also meaningful.

The season will kick off on Saturday, October 11, with the team's 88th season against the Syracuse Crunch. Fans who arrive early will have the chance to meet players and coaches and get autographs. This event is a great way to start the season with excitement and energy.

In addition to the regular games, the Bears will celebrate their 20th anniversary as an affiliate of the Washington Capitals. To honor this partnership, which has led to the winningest team in the American Hockey League, the team will host four Capitals Nights on the following dates: Sunday, November 16; Friday, December 12; Saturday, January 3; and Sunday, March 15. These nights will feature special activities and themes, offering fans a unique experience.

Another notable event is the Penn State Health Pink the Rink Weekend, taking place on Saturday, October 18, and Sunday, October 19. During this weekend, the club will switch out its traditional chocolate sweaters for pink ones. Fans attending Saturday’s game will receive a light-up Pink the Rink baton, and both nights’ jerseys will be auctioned off on Sunday night. This event supports breast cancer awareness and highlights the team's commitment to community involvement.

Hockey Fights Cancer Night is set for Sunday, November 30, against the Laval Rocket. All fans will receive a light-up Hockey Fights Cancer bracelet, courtesy of Penn State Health. The team will also wear special jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game, further supporting the cause.
