Excitement Builds for Grey’s Anatomy Season 22

The cast of Grey’s Anatomy is preparing for the next chapter in the long-running medical drama, with production set to begin on Season 22. The new season is scheduled to premiere on October 16, and fans are already buzzing with anticipation. Camilla Luddington, who plays Dr. Jo Wilson, recently shared news about the upcoming season, hinting at “craziness” ahead. However, it was a different detail from her recent social media post that sparked a flurry of reactions from fans.

Luddington posted photos from a girls’ trip to Instagram, captioning them with a playful message: “Had to have one last (girls!!!) trip away before I return to CRAZINESSSSS at Seattle Grace NEXT WEEK!!!! 😭🫠 Everything’s gonna be fine tho right guys?!!! RIGHT asking for a *friend.” She added an asterisk to clarify that the “friend” she was referring to was her character, Jo, who is pregnant with Link’s twin daughters.

But fans quickly caught on to something else in her post—she referred to the hospital as “Seattle Grace,” rather than the current name, “Grey Sloan Memorial.” This mistake didn’t go unnoticed, and many fans took to the comments section to point it out. Reactions ranged from confusion to excitement, with some even speculating if this slip-up was a clue about what happened to Link.

Comments like “At WHAT hospital Camilla?!” and “SEATTLE GRACE! SHE SAID SEATTLE GRACE!!!!!! ❤️” flooded the post. Others joked, “Seattle Grace??? Time warp? It has not been called that for a hot minute. 😂” and “Girl, it hasn't been called Seattle Grace in like over ten years.”

Luddington later explained that the error was due to rewatching the Season 8 plane crash finale for a podcast episode. On Call It What It Is, she and co-star Jessica Capshaw revisited the iconic episode, which featured the hospital still known as Seattle Grace. The episode, which involved a plane crash and the tragic deaths of Lexie Grey and Mark Sloan, eventually led to the hospital’s rebranding as Grey Sloan Memorial.

Now that the confusion has been cleared up, fans are looking forward to the next season. With the cast and crew back in action, there’s plenty to look forward to. The Season 22 premiere will air at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 16, on ABC. Episodes will be available to stream the following day on Hulu, while the first 21 seasons can be watched on Netflix or Disney+.

As the show continues to captivate audiences, the mystery of what happened to Link remains a topic of discussion among fans. With more episodes on the way, viewers can expect plenty of drama, twists, and emotional moments in the coming season. Whether it’s the return of beloved characters or the introduction of new storylines, Grey’s Anatomy is sure to keep fans engaged and eager for more.
