Jason Crow, a Democrat from Colorado, recently made headlines by labeling Tulsi Gabbard as a “weapon of mass distraction.” This statement came in the context of Gabbard's recent claims about former President Barack Obama and his administration's handling of intelligence related to the 2016 election. According to Crow, Gabbard is attempting to regain favor with Donald Trump by spreading these allegations, which he considers dangerous.

During an interview on "Fox News Sunday" with Shannon Bream, Crow expressed concern over Gabbard’s accusations that Obama knowingly lied about Russian efforts to influence the election. He emphasized that these claims are not only unfounded but also potentially harmful. Crow pointed out that there have been multiple investigations into this matter, including a bipartisan Senate investigation led during the first Trump administration. He noted that these findings have been thoroughly examined and have not changed, despite Gabbard's recent assertions.

Gabbard has claimed that newly declassified documents provide “irrefutable evidence” that Obama and his national security team created a false assessment regarding Russian intervention in the 2016 election. She and Trump have suggested that these actions could constitute treason.
