At the time, Anderson was filling in as a guest host for Sharon Osbourne on her talk show “The Sharon Osbourne Show.” The episode, now over 20 years old, features Anderson interacting with Lohan, who was promoting her film “Freaky Friday” at the time. During the interview, Anderson made several remarks that have since been criticized, especially given that Lohan was a minor at the time.

In response to the controversy, a spokesperson for Anderson issued a statement claiming that the interview was intended as comedy and that he regrets any perceived insensitivity.
